Process Engineer

Your role:

As a Process Engineer in the Operations group you will perform a variety of activities related to the improvement, control, testing and inspection of production and operation processes.  Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, ISO controlled manufacturing practices and quality standards.  The continuous improvement projects will focus on people and processes within the site.  You will demonstrate a working knowledge of Lean Concepts and Six Sigma methodologies that will be utilized in the creation and implementation of change projects. 

 

You will be accountable for projects within a clearly defined scope and milestones.  Receive moderate to low level of guidance and direction within clear or even broad guidelines. You impact the results of your own project team or closely related teams through successful project execution of projects with limited scope, risk and financial impact, typically in a transactional area.

 

Who You Are:

The Process Engineer role requires a degreed background and some relevant professional experience in support/services/operations. Requires some project management experience. Non-graduate jobholders require a substantial amount of professional experience and additional qualifications that also provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts of Lean/Six Sigma methodology.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

·  Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, microbiology, or chemistry fields.
·  Certified in Lean/Six Sigma – green belt level
·  3+years work experience in a life science lab
·  2+ years’ experience in a microbiology production environment

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Six Sigma Black belt certification, or successful completion of training sessions towards a certification.
·  1+ years work experience as a project manager dealing with production improvement related activities.RSRMS
