Manufacturing Buyer - Planner

Your Role:

 

Reviews demand plans at a global and local level, including adjusting forecast and safety stock parameters and works with the sales group to incorporate customer demands into the planning systems.

Create purchae orders based on customer requirement,and all other company and/or departmental goals.

 

 

·  Maintain and monitor purchase orders for manufacturing needs, utilizing SAP.
·  Ensure planning system is optimized to achieve corporate business objectives.
·  Work closely with project managers, sales, marketing and other production/purchasing planners to ensure customer expectations are achieved.
·  Facilitate process improvement initiatives to improve customer service, increase productivity, eliminate waste, and streamline processes in production.
·  Analyzes planned orders, requirements, and system designs with a view to global supply chain impact. Converts planned orders to purchase requisitions .
·  Work with global planning teams as needed to ensure planning designs and requirements are coordinated across the entire supply chain

WHO YOU ARE:

 

Basic Qualifications

 

·  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred, or equivalent experience in production planning and scheduling.
·  Basic scheduling techniques and material requirements planning knowledge
·  2+ years of experience in moving material through the product delivery cycle, proficient with a PC, and data analysis
·  2+ years of experience in supply chain, forecasting or planning/scheduling

Preferred Qualifications

·  Strong MS Office Suite. (Access, Excel, Word)
·  ISO standards (Preparing documents).
·  Certification from APICs or IBF preferred.
