Medical Representative

Roles related to the sales and marketing of Merck’s products, maximising value from the sale of products, and the identification and fostering of alliances and new business opportunities.

 

Presents the company's products and services to prescribing doctors and medical personnel. Creates, monitors and revises lead generation plans to generate a substantive sales opportunity pipeline.

• Responsible for the achievement of qualitative and quantitative sales objectives in a specific territory, for product line(s) or account(s).
• Contacts and visits exclusively medical specialists in hospitals and other clinical institutions and ensures highest level of customer service.
• The highly competitive environment requires consulting and sales skills in addition to comprehensive knowledge of products and market.

 

• Impacts team effectiveness through quality of own work and the work of others in the team.
• Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams that affect team performance.
• Works independently & with substantial discretion within guidelines and policies.
