Global Occupational Hygienist

Location flexible within EU

 

Your role:  Drive the controlling of health risks in practical and cost-effective ways by assessing and resolving practical problems in a wide range of settings, including factories, offices and building sites. Concentrate on short and long-term effects on health arising from both acute and chronic exposure and enable organizations to respond effectively to legislative requirements. The practice of occupational hygiene has a significant contribution to the promotion of health in the workplace. Key responsibilities include leading the overall Occupational Hygiene affairs for Global manufacturing and Supply within Biopharma. Develop and coordinate industrial hygiene programs globally in the recognition, evaluation, and control of chemical contaminants, including risk and exposure assessments, as part of a comprehensive EHS program. Evaluate personal and process safety risks, including loss prevention, and develop appropriate elimination strategies, controls, and mitigation. Manage occupational health & safety data, analyze data for insights & trends, and prepare appropriate performance reports and KPIs. Provide direct site support in both occupational health & safety program management and the resolution of specific technical problems. Support strongly in conducting hazard analysis, HAZOPS and risk assessments. Assist with other EHS programs, such as training programs, incident investigations, audits, risk assessments, EHS management systems, etc. Provide technical & strategic occupational health & safety information to aid in business decision-making for policy, legal, and program direction. Analyze, interpret, and communicate occupational health & safety regulatory & technical developments and emerging issues. Interface with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, as appropriate.

 

Who you are

 

·  Advanced degree in an occupational health discipline, or a closely related field; with at least 10 years health and safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
·  Must currently be a Certified Industrial Hygienist; Certified Safety Professional a plus.
·  Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing effective occupational safety & health strategies, programs, and controls at both single and multiple site levels.
·  Demonstrate Senior leadership skills and competencies and strong assertiveness
·  Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels of the organization.
·  Fluent in English
