Expert (all genders) High Throughput Mass Spectrometry limited for 3 years

Your Role:

 
The qualified candidate (all genders) will play an important role in early drug development programs by running high throughput screens analyzed by various mass spectrometry read outs. You further develop automated sample preparation workflows for mass spectrometry measurements in collaboration with our analytical department. With your proven background in biochemistry and skills in MALDI Mass spectrometry analyses you establish physiologically relevant label-free biological assays for novel targets in our drug development. You are responsible for high quality data interpretation and for the presentation of results within cross functional research project teams. As part of your tasks you are responsible to coordinate and execute current antibody high throughput screens together with the technical staff of the Bioassay Automation Group and in close collaboration with the NBE group. Furthermore, you will scout and evaluate novel high throughput MS technologies and assess the value for internal set up.

 

Who You Are:

 

·  Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology, biotechnology or equivalent
·  Hands-on experience in high throughput mass spectrometry; at least 3 years workling experience in an equivalent environment
·  Experience in the setup of robust biological assays
·  Experience in lab automation or miniaturization is a plus
·  Strong oral and written communication skills in English and German
