Cell Line Development Scientist I

1. Job Description

This position will participate in execution of the upstream process development activities and delivery, as well as the daily operation and maintenance of the upstream team.

Within E2E APAC, the USP scientist I will work directly with USP team members as well as other teams including DSP, Analytical, project and quality team within E2E Bioreliance Biodevelopment and other function groups.

 

 

2. Major Responsibility

 

Mammalian Cell Culture/Development

·  Perform all mammalian cell culture experiments related to cell line development/cell culture process development/pilot production (at least one of three) according to the plan & protocol
·  Record all data of experiment performed and involved
·  Effective communication of data/results to managers on time and in time
·  Show logical and scientific thinking in development activities
·  Any other development activities assigned

Execution of Activities Related to Upstream Development

·  Medium and buffer preparation of USP activities
·  Preparation and check of SOP, BR and Data sheet related to USP activities
·  Sample preparation for analysis
·  Finish self-training of USP related SOP, experiment and learning course internally and externally
·  Training other team members or colleagues
·  Support all activities needed for the implementation of the experiments and projects

Maintenance and Daily Operation

·  Make sure the implementation of the qualification, calibration and maintenance of equipment
·  Monitoring the inventory of USP team consumables, reagents and all other raw material
·  Ordering and receiving all CAPEX and OPEX as need
·  Finish the team and facility related to the activities like checking, cleaning and disinfection
·  Involved in the use, record and maintenance of the cell bank and plasmids according to the responsibilities defined in related SOPs
·  Any other development activities assigned

Compliance and Good Behavior

·  Make sure all activities are compliant to the policy of the lab, company and regulatory requirements
·  No fraud, modification, delete of any experiment data and information
·  Report discrepancy, deviation, error, issue, OT work and vacation to line manager in time and on time.
·  Show team spirit, proactive and optimistic characters in work

 

3. Qualification

 

Education

·  Bachelor of Science Degree or above, master is preferred
·  Major in Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Pharmacy or equivalent

Experience

·  At least 1-year hands on experience of mammalian cell culture techniques (at least one from cell line development/upstream process development/pilot scale) for MS and at least 4 years for BS
·  Master the use of Microsoft office software
·  Experience of Statistic software is a plus
·  Quality concept is a plus
·  Good track record of former work and academic experience

Language Skill

·  Basic English reading and writing
·  Spoken and written of English is a plus
