ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Support Royal Canin Trade program - activities may include, but are not limited to, creation and implementation of processes to comply with trade regulations across North America
·  Facilitate the movement of product and materials across international borders – to include generation of all trade compliance required documentation such as Product registration, facility registration, country specific registration Commercial Invoices, ensure proper classifications, Country of Origin information and all valuations.
·  Perform audits of Free Trade Agreement forms to ensure compliance with FTA programs
·  Analyzes, audits, and evaluates internal and external business partners including operations, procedures and documentations to verify and ensure global trade compliance. Liaison with government officials.
·  Communicate new requirements to Royal Canin associates via training, newsletters, and SOP creation
·  Utilize Trade Compliance Software to perform audits of import/export entries, and where software may not be utilized, complete manual audits of import/export requirements, developing tools where needed.
·  Monitor procedures used by external and internal partners to ensure compliance with N.A. government trade regulations.
·  Ability to analyze data, generate queries, reports from various databases as needed and drive continuous improvement; LEAN experience is a plus
·  Manage database accuracy and adhere to data entry policies and practices as well as recordkeeping
·  Provide centralized expert consulting on trade compliance and regulations with various internal & external clients (e.g., Product Units, Supply Chain, Tax, Finance, Facilities, broker etc.)
·  Manage the Intercompany transactions with Finance aligned with Customs’ Duty/Taxes on import/ export shipments
·  Manages relationships with customs brokers at the local level. Responds to inquiries from local Customs authorities.

Requirements:

·  Undergraduate degree preferred, HS Diploma required plus relevant work experience.
·  US Broker’s License to be completed within 6 months of hire.
·  Sig Sigma, CSCP, CSM, PMP certifications preferred
·  3+ years’ experience performing trade compliance related work activities including but not limited to customs procedures, customs classifications, regulations, how import codes affect duties paid, value added tax, and procedures for expediting shipments through customs
·  Cross function experience within Supply Chain preferred
·  Attention to detail; excellent oral and written communication skills
·  Ability to prioritize and multi-task
·  Familiarity with Harmonized Tariff Classifications, FTA, Registrations
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
