Supplier Quality Assurance Officer

Niepołomice

In its journey to be the world leader in health nutrition for cats and dogs, Royal Canin puts raw materials at the first step of the value chain. In order to maintain consistency in its finish products and fuel the innovation loop, the materials delivered to Royal Canin must reach best in class quality level. To support us in achieving this goal, we are actively recruiting for a regional position of Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Officer . This person will play a key role in the supplier and raw material validation process and will be responsible for driving continuous improvement of our suppliers across Europe.

As a Supplier Quality Assurance Officer you will:

·  Assure quality, food safety, and legality of a portfolio of raw materials supplied to the manufacturing sites
·  Assess and validate supplier capabilities to meet expected standards and specifications through the material risk assessments and audits
·  Lead & drive continuous improvement projects to enhance the quality of the category
·  Measure & report proper metrics to stakeholders to confirm efficiency of the actions taken and determine priorities for the business
·  Support and deploy new raw materials to support Procurement and R&D strategies
·  Anticipate and manage effectively quality exceptions, non-conformances and crisis to minimize business impact
·  Actively participate among the regional SQA community
·  Build collaborative links internally with such departments as R&D, Q&FS, Regulatory, Procurement and Supply, and externally with our suppliers

We are interested in candidates with:

·  University degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, Engineering or similar technical field
·  A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a technical area such as R&D product development, quality assurance, Q&FS, laboratory or food engineering
·  Fluent English, knowledge of another language will be an asset
·  Openness for business travel in Europe (up to 30% travel in the role)
·  Readiness to complete during the first year an accredited Lead Auditor training course to enable IRCA/RABQSA/or equivalent
·  Highly developed communication skills
·  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
·  Ability to collaborate with multiple and remote teams
