Mars Petcare is looking for a Replenishment Coordinator in Franklin, TN.

Purpose of Role
• The purpose of the Replenishment Coordinator position is to ensure that finished goods are in the right place at the right time within the MPC supply network to meet customer demand, Copack production requirements, and other inventory balance initiatives, at the least cost to the organization.
• Tactical position that assumes management of finished goods flow from the manufacturing network to other shipping sites (i.e. RDCs) through the use of Replenishment Orders, aka Stock Transfer Orders (STO’s) or Dynamic Shipments (FDS), ensuring all orders are managed from the point of order creation, through goods issue, and completed at goods receipt.
• Key focus areas are deployment, inventory balance, and order management.
• Participates in the production planning/plant scheduling processes that support the maintenance of target inventory levels at each shipping location. Works closely with Operations Planning for assigned segments to carry out network inventory plans.
• Serve as coordinator and primary point of contact between plant personnel, Operations Planning partners, Third party coman vendors, Mars Affiliates, Customer Supply Chain, Transportation teams, carriers and third-party logistics providers to manage and own the situation when we are at risk of not fulfilling customer orders. Implements actions and shares best practices to provide the best service to our customers at the lowest cost.

Principal Accountabilities
• Utilize JDA Replenishment Workbench suite and Replenishment databases including SAP & various Tableau reports, to analyze the inventory position by item and location. Uses info to determine correct quantities and locations to distribute finished product between plants & distribution centers to maximize customer service at the lowest costs, including inventory that is currently available, and/or future production.
• Builds truckloads of finished goods from plant to warehouse by consolidating SKUs in a manner that makes the best use of freight transportation dollars. This is done by optimizing weight, pallet count, transportation mode and cross segment product mix. Delivers costs savings to the business annually through truck and transportation mode utilization.
• Reviews future production schedules & directs Dynamic Shipments via Distribution instruction sheets, coaching sites on best practices, and owning responsibility for inventory placement. Reviews JDA Apollo solves multiple times weekly to ensure all available inventory is properly being utilized.
• Attains target level metrics for replenishment area (Customer Fill Rate, Replenishment On-Time shipping, Aging inbounds, Intermodal Utilization, Payload Utilization, & Assistance Spend Tracking) to determine and implement the required actions necessary to positively affect targeted goals.
• Jointly analyze and collaborate with plants, operations planning and production schedulers to provide feedback on production quantity, timing, and replenishment location. Place stock transfer orders for agreed upon quantities to support the timely deployment of production to optimize customer service while minimizing logistics costs.
• Track the shipment of inventory moves (STO’s, Dynamic Shipments) on an exception basis. Follow up and resolve all past due shipments or receipts with sites, third party logistics provider, or distribution center.
• Manage and balance the number of inbound and outbound shipments to/from plants and warehouses to ensure the amount of loads scheduled does not exceed location throughput or freight capacities.
• Pull inventory from manufacturing sites or warehouses by dropping orders to provide approved network assistance to other manufacturing sites unable to meet their expected demand. Rebalance network as necessary through standard daily routines and inventory reviews.
• Proactively call out service risks through daily JTM & CMOS huddles, weekly LMOS, Regional DOR calls, Ops Huddles inputs, or other forums. Analyze and determine root causes of service failures in order to implement and communicate appropriate actions going forward. Lead JTM/CMOS and other operational execution meetings as needed.
o Example: Works closely with all related departments to generate solutions, when quality hold and micro release issues jeopardize customer service levels.
• Coordinate orders for finished goods from co-manufacturers and affiliate units to align with the production schedule created by the Operations planning team. Facilitate inbound receipts from co-manufacturers & affiliates by working with third-parties to receive BOLs and enter into required systems in a timely manner. Works closely with third party vendors and Coman planners.
• Participate on project brand teams or other cross-functional projects as assigned, including some manual Data Entry and/or order monitoring projects where individual orders are tracked.

• Ability to access and manipulate data from multiple sources to create usable information to assist decision making and analysis. Use of Excel to create pivot tables, V-lookup tables, or visual charts. Use of Tableau software to review and analyze data for problem-solving and information sharing.
• Strong numeric, analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Able to navigate through computer assisted solutions for supply chain analysis.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency through effective organizational skills.

Minimum Qualifications
• BS / BA Business, Economics, Supply Chain or quantitative discipline.
• 1-4 years of experience in a distributed manufacturing environment that includes inventory management and the movement of inventory within the company and to customers.
• Familiar with inventory & production planning software and forecasting methods.
• Project Management exposure
• Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
