The Role

Here at Mars Petcare we have an opportunity for a Supplier QA Manager to join our commercial team. This role will see you work with suppliers to enable them to meet the specification and quality requirements for raws and packaging materials used in our facilities. You will work closely with the Commercial buying team to validate and verify new and existing suppliers into the into the Bathurst, Wodonga and Whanganui Mars Petcare plants, as well as with our suppliers on continuous Improvement opportunities.

N.B. This role Involves around 10-20% travel, conducting supplier audits and supplier visits across Australia and New Zealand.

What are we looking for?

·  Relevant tertiary qualifications (Commercial or Science based) or relevant work experience
·  Experience in a similar role which will allow you to hit the ground running;
·  Audit experience required;
·  Supplier relationship management experience and ability to engage and influence stakeholders;
·  Curious mind-set and ability to be open and challenge status quo.

What would be your responsibilities?

·  Auditing upstream traders and manufacturers;
·  Validating and verifying new supplier opportunities;
·  Follow up supplier corrective actions and undertake material risk assessments;
·  Work on Commercial cost saving initiatives & work with global/regional sourcing teams, providing input into commercial sourcing methodology;
·  Work with the Supplier Quality Auditor team and contribute to team meetings and activities.
