Mars Wrigley Confectionery is looking for a Project Engineer to be based out of our Gainesville, GA site. The Project Engineer is responsible for the design and installation of projects. The Project Engineer is responsible for deploying his/her engineering know-how to successfully execute and deliver projects to the business that provide a competitive advantage.

·  Creating and managing project scopes

Principal Accountabilities:

·  Actively participate in the development of engineering skills

·  Ensure delivery of assigned objectives for scope, time, budget, and cash flow
·  Ensure priorities are aligned with overall project priorities
·  Communicate with the project manager, project sponsors, and customers to ensure project objectives are achieved
·  Seek and apply appropriate technology to gain and sustain a technical competitive advantage
·  Support initiatives that shorten new product and project cycle times
·  Seek and support lean ways of working and apply lean principles in the engineering process and as a project deliverable
·  Understand and make decisions to improve business measurements such as ROTA, FATR etc.
·  Continuously improve technical knowledge
·  Continuously improve personal efficiency and performance to provide value added engineering
·  Key member and contributor of the CVS Team
·  Actively participate in the development of engineering standards and tools
·  Support safety, security and environmental policies
·  Contribute innovative ideas to provide competitive advantage
·  Identify, protect, and expand intellectual property of corporation
·  Maximize asset utilization through value added engineering and lean design
·  Support project objectives and challenge activities not aligned with those objectives
·  Directly manage all assigned project work

·  Ensure delivery of quality work
·  Actively plan and participate in project activities

Minimum Requirements:

·  High School Diploma required
·  5+ years of experience in an comparable technical position - food, beverage, pharmaceutical, chemistry or related industry preferable
·  5+ years of experience managing and leading engineering projects, with at least one project having exceeded $10M in size/scope.
·  Basic understanding of engineering principals - knowledge of engineering disciplines: Process, Packaging, Electrical, Construction, Computer Services
·  In-depth understanding of designated functional engineering area of expertise (for specific job requirement i.e. controls, process, packaging)
·  Demonstrated success providing structure to process of planning and executing large scale engineering projects
·  Prior success working on teams and being a key player/positive influence on the team, leading to achieving results
·  Good communication, listening and influencing skills
·  Critical thinking skills and ability to come up with innovative ideas
·  Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional internal and external partners
·  Approximately 20-50% travel requirement depending on project demands

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Degree in Engineering in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or MBA
·  10+ years of experience in an comparable technical position - food, beverage, pharmaceutical or related industry preferable
·  5+ years of experience managing projects of at least $5M in size/scope.
