Packaging Fitter - Day Shift

Here at Mars Wrigley, we have a vacancy for a Packaging Mechanic to join our mechanics team. Based in Asquith and reporting to the Packaging Mechanics Team Leader, your key focus will be on planned maintenance and the development and implementation of process and machinery improvements. Working within a high performing team you will also offer support across the various factory departments as required.

Hours of work will be 6am-4pm, 4 days per week with a Thursday mid-week RDO. Flexibility to work a Saturday shift occasionally would also be desirable.

What are we looking for?

·  A relevant trade qualification is essential;
·  Experience working with high speed machinery is preferred;
·  Strong mechanical aptitude;
·  Ability to work effectively within a team environment;
·  Good levels of numeracy, literacy and attention to detail;
·  Good understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, Occupational Health & Safety and Quality

What would be your key responsibilities?

Additional key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to);

·  Ensure production efficiencies;
·  Working closely with machine operators to understand machine problems and identify improvement possibilities.
·  Supporting the broader maintenance team where required;
·  Assisting engineers with improvement project developments and implementations;
·  Assisting with overtime where requested.
