BASIC PURPOSE

Provides the coordination, standardization, and innovation within the Maintenance Department to maintain equipment and facilities to operate in the safest and most productive electro-mechanical condition, implementing continual improvements, and being a resource to support new system installations, production strategy, and plant reliability. Responsible for process lines and areas performance monitoring: identify performance opportunities and implement actions to address those opportunities. Responsible for anomalies elimination on the production lines and areas. Executes root cause analysis on repetitive failures and breakdowns and defines and implements action to prevent failure reoccurrence. Responsible to comply with all the maintenance management system guidelines and procedures (i.e. post maintenance cleaning process). Responsible for scheduled and non scheduled equipment maintenance activities execution

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

To competently perform at a proficient level and be fully qualified, a person would be expected to have:

1.

Education (Minimum Needed):

High School Diploma; Technical school preferred

2.

Experience (Minimum Needed):

3-5 years mechanical/electrical experience

3.

Specialized Knowledge Needed For Performance of Job:

Analyze condition of, troubleshoot failures of, repair and perform preventative / predictive maintenance on production equipment (packaging and processing), building and utilities, and all associated equipment

Prioritize and manage work assigned to implement immediate repairs and to ensure permanent repairs are completed within 14 days and all information has been communicated on root cause of failure

Special Skills:

Experience in Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma
