JOB VACANCY NOTICE

Title: General Relief Operator

Number of Openings:

Zone: Senior Operator –

Shift: 4 shift rotation

Role Objective: To fill critical vacancies on current assigned shift across segments as business needs arise. This position requires flexibility, collaboration and learning agility with a time-in-role requirement of at least 21 months.

The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include:

·  Fill shift openings on an as needed basis.
·  Be highly flexible and willing to work in all areas of the factory.
·  Good communication skills and the ability to train others.
·  Perform recoup, cleaning, or other activities as assigned by the shift manager.
·  Investigate and implement ways to minimize waste in the area.
·  Participate in continuous improvement of the operations and associated activities.
·  Support Visual Workplace activities in the areas assigned.
·  Ability to troubleshoot equipment to assure proper mechanical operation.
·  Assure that the sanitation levels for the area are properly maintained.
·  To help insure that new associates in the area receive proper skills and safety training.
·  Able to complete all tasks in the area abiding by Mars Safety Practices.
·  Perform all Quality Audits as required.
·  Able to complete all tasks in the area assigned by manager abiding by the Quality Practices and Mars Safety Practices.
·  Every associate at Mars has responsibility for the achievement of quality and food safety.
·  Able to become forklift certified before start up in position.
·  Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
·  Must be able to adapt to temperature and environmental extremes such as hot and cold, dust, dirt and chemicals.
·  Be willing to adjust to changing relief rotations.

The preferred qualifications of this position are:

·  Quick learning agility and the ability to operate multiple pieces of equipment within the factory.
·  Most recent Performance appraisal with a minimum of “Meets Expectations”

and not over 1 year old.

·  No active disciplines.
·  Acceptable attendance (Less than 7 incidents and no discipline above an Initial Warning).
·  Physical requirements: Ability to perform all needed physical activities without restrictions. (Maximum of 50 pounds lifting.)
·  A current certification to operate a forklift or the ability to certify.
