Job Purpose:

This role is a key member of the North American MGS Finance General Accounting Team and an integral part of the transformational journey. The role is responsible for proactively identifying and leading process improvements to drive operational effectiveness. This role will partner with MGS Managers including GA Managers, GA Team Members, Functional Experts, Business Process Owners and key stakeholder to proactively identify and work on process and operating model optimization.

Job Responsibilities:

Operational Effectiveness:

·  Provide indirect leadership of General Accounting team by actively identifying and working on process and operational model optimization, recommending areas for improvement and providing coaching as required
·  Act as the subject matter expert in Mars Global Services General Accounting area and be instrumental in helping to execute business objectives
·  Applies performance improvement expertise to accelerate operational effectiveness
·  Partner with GA MGS managers to establish clear operational priorities
·  Support transformation/change initiatives through the use of change management frameworks ensuring minimal impact to business performance
·  Run and monitor improvement projects
·  Ensuring an adequate internal control environment as well as make recommendations regarding improvements of Internal Controls

Continuous Improvement:

·  Lead continuous improvement initiatives within GA, aiming to deliver efficiencies in operations
·  Recommend opportunities to improve effectiveness of GA processes
·  Lead standardization and documentation efforts across supported processes
·  Support MFS Global Transformation team on their efforts

Context and Scope:

The individual will be expected to work with minimal up-front guidance and take ownership of his / her work product. Leads continuous improvement and standardization projects. Latitude to make recommendations and decisions within established procedures

Knowledge & Experience:

·  Bachelor’s degree Accounting / Finance or Business required
·  CPA a plus
·  MBA a plus
·  4+ years of relevant experience
·  In-depth knowledge of General Accounting best practices, processes, GAAP and internal controls
·  4+ years of GA Accounting experience preferred
·  Ability to work under pressure
