Manager’s Position: Team Lead- Reporting & Analytics

Job Purpose:

Ecommerce is the fastest growing channel in the market and this highly visible associate will help build the organization's capabilities to unlock insights supporting our long-term growth agenda. We are looking for a strong analyst who is working towards a full stack capability and today brings good skills in data engineering and visualization, with a background, or good understanding of, decision science and business analytics. This is a great opportunity for a strong technical analyst to leverage existing skills (Data engineering, data science, data visualization) while building business facing skills (Insights, business analyst) under the direction of a very focused insights team. This associate will develop/manage/use databases to turn information into knowledge by working directly with the field teams (Amazon/Chewy/Walmart) and 3rd party service providers to support key initiatives. In addition, this associate will support our daily IMAP policy using relevant software platform (Oris).

Key Responsibilities:

·  Assess current Ecommerce reporting capabilities via current data sets, measures, and systems.
·  Recommend new data engineering and reporting opportunities by gathering requirements from field and enterprise teams to understand what teams are trying to accomplish.
·  Engage in assessment and project work focused on generation of enterprise data asset built within Azure datalake to create platform from which analytics and visualization can be built. This will be a key member of that team and will work with our digital foundations group and the Amazon customer team to align on recommendations and ensure development delivers business expectations
·  Build reporting dashboards via own capabilities (Tableau, Power Bi, QlikView, etc.) and/or utilization of 3rd Party resources.
·  Establish a process for sharing insights across the organization and field teams that lead to tangible actions and support/determine strategic direction.
·  Support the IMAP process via daily price violations and notifications
·  Responsible for being a high contributing member of a high-performance team and working well across teams / functions.

Context and Scope:

·  Ownership of unlocking Ecommerce insights via various data sources (ie, Nielsen, Stackline, Profitero, Amazon Vendor Portal, Chewy Vendor Portal) by learning the systems, building reporting dashboards by combining data sources (backend/frontend development) and acting as a central point person between the field teams and 3rd Party resources.
·  Establishing a Reporting Roadmap and Critical Timelines by enrolling cross-functional partners.
·  Support field teams throughout the ongoing business management cycle and the Customer Joint Business Planning process by offering insights that shape strategic direction of team and lead to tangible business wins.
·  Ecommerce rolls into the East Region (among other Brick & Mortar accounts) and associate will work with their counter-part (East Region Analyst) to provide market consumption trends and internal shipment versus target information as part of period business reviews.
·  Integrate self Into the MAP process and work with the SRM Team on reporting and continuous Improvements.

Job Qualifications:

Education & Professional Qualifications:

·  Minimum of a BA/BS in an analytical / quantitative field. MBA, advanced degree, or comparable advanced experience a plus.

Knowledge / Experience

·  Minimum 3 years of business experience working in a Reporting & Analytics role with a focus on data engineering, data management, data visualization, with an interest and some experience generating data driven insights. The preferred candidate will have worked in the Ecommerce space and possess skills with relational and non-relational databases using applications such as SQL, R, Python, Spark, databricks, Excel, etc.., have strong data QC, experience building curated data layers, and demonstratable expertise in visualization software (Tableau, Power BI, Qlikview, etc).

There will potentially be some travel associated with this role; up to 10% of the time.

Key Functional & Technical Skills:

·  Technical & Analytical Skills: Data Management, Database Creation, Visualization Tools
·  Extensive experience in developing automated ETL processes preferably in cloud environment
·  Experience In relational database such as SQL (Teradata, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.)
·  Experience In working with Azure and/or AWS suite of tools preferred
·  Experience In developing dashboards and scorecards In Tableau and/or Power BI
·  Experience In modern data management and analytic tool preferred
