Specific Job Summary:
* Performs analysis, designs, develops, implements and evaluates training projects for Marriott. Serves as a senior-level instructional designer for Marriott Learning Services.
* Interfaces with: Headquarters and Market Associates throughout the organization, training vendors, and other project stakeholders
Specific Expected Contributions:
* Analysis and project leadership
* Assess business needs
* Achieve customer satisfaction
* Determine appropriate training delivery options (whether Instructor Led, Web/Computer-Based, online help, job aids or blended approach)
* Conduct performance and learning analyses
* Interview Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand learning/performance requirements
* Practice continuous improvement
* Establish rapport and continued involvement with customer (stakeholders, sponsors and SMEs)
*Design - Write and sequence learning objectives
* Construct topical outlines and design documents
* Develop appropriate evaluation approach
* Determine courseware formats and standards
* Submit curriculum plan for stakeholder approval
* Effectively utilize rapid design tools, such as storyboards
* Conduct peer and stakeholder reviews/revisions
* Build training program prototype
* Develop and/or lead development of training programs
* Edit courseware to make it instructionally sound
* Coordinate reviews of courseware with the customer
* Incorporate customer comments to finalize courseware
* Perform quality assurance reviews
* Develop and/or lead development of training evaluation instruments
* Prepare courseware for implementation/change management
* Develop evaluation plan (levels 1-4)
* Develop/acquire data collection instruments

Specific Candidate Profile:
*Education - BA/BS degree required; advanced degree in Instructional Design Technology preferred Experience
* Minimum of 5-7 years experience in technology-based design/development.
Possesses knowledge, skills and experience in:
*In-depth experience/knowledge in the instructional systems design lifecycle
* Technical Knowledge - In-depth experience/knowledge in technology-based design/development tools (i.e., Macromedia Captivate, Flash, Adobe Photoshop)
* Instructional design practices and methodology
* Business needs assessment
* Performance/learning analysis
* Procedural documentation/writing
* Project Management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects
