Lapita is a Polynesian themed hotel, located in the heart of Dubai Parks and Resorts. A hotel which is dedicated to families and friends who want to stay close to all the activities that the theme parks will be offering. With 504 rooms, including 60 suites and 3 villas, Lapita is the perfect relaxation point after a day of adventures and fun. Part of Marriott's Autograph Collection this amazing hotel offers five food and beverage outlets, two outdoor pools and a lazy river, a spa and health club, Luna & Nova Kids & Teens Club as well as meeting and event facilities. The hotel's name was inspired by the pre-historic Pacific Ocean people and their journey and settlement into the Islands ( the Lapita movement ). The design draws its inspiration from the exotic Polynesian tropical landscapes, featuring Polynesian flowers, lagoon-style pools, and themed activities.

Qualifications :

Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards:

Physical Tasks

Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects).

Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.

Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.

Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.

Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.

Exposure to outdoor elements, wet and/or humid conditions as well as extreme heat/cold (non-environmental).

Work near loud noises, around and in large crowds, and in tight and dark spaces, including in a large costume.

Continual use of manual dexterity with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity.

Maintain size and weight requirements based on costume's pre-determined size.

Wear and carry special events props and gear for long periods of time.

Perform inside bulky costume for long periods of time.

Identify and distinguish colors.

Other Duties:

To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag.

To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the hotel and department appearance standards.

To provide friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.

To maintain good working relationships with your colleagues and all other departments.

To ensure you read the hotel's Ambassador Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.

To comply with local legislation as required.

To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the hotel.

To be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned, including redeployment to alternative departments/areas if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs.

To attend training and meetings as and when required.

To ensure that his / her fitness level and product knowledge is as per standard requirements related to leisure operations.
