Job Summary

The HR Coordinator- Payroll and Benefits will primarily be responsible for office and payroll administration, assisting employees with access to benefit and compensation plan information, for a large hotel with 300+ employees. Review and ensure accurate payroll administration and benefits maintenance, sick, vacation, maternity, etc. Review and ensure accurate maintenance of all employee records and files (personal action forms, pension, benefit enrollment etc.). Answer phone calls and record messages. Maintain an organized office space, filing, scanning and shredding as needed. Respond to questions, requests, and concerns from employees and management regarding company and Human Resources programs, policies and guidelines. Maintain confidentiality and security of employee and property records, files, and information.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

- Associate or Bachelor degree required

- 1 year minimum experience in Human Resources role, ideally in a similar role

- Highly organized and detailed oriented

- Strong administrative skills are required

- Computer literate and Microsoft Office proficient

- must be able to type at least 40+ words per minute

- Ability to work in a fast paced, high demand environment and to adhere to tight deadlines

- Ability to handle multiple projects at once

- Critical thinking and ability to make sound decisions

- Able and willing to work long hours; weekends and holidays depending on business needs

- Hotel experience preferred
