Function

The successful incumbent is required to maintain the up keep of all guest rooms and corridors and ensure that all public areas in the hotel are cleaned and maintained in accordance with Marriott International Policies and Procedures.

Required Experience & Qualifications

·  1 - 2 years' experience in Housekeeping in a 4 or 5 Star Hotel
·  Good communication skills
·  Ability to work without supervision
·  Ability to speak, read and engage in the English language
·  Customer / staff focused
·  Positive, motivated and enthusiastic personality
·  Flexibility to work different shifts and hours depending on operational requirement
·  Team orientation
·  Attention to detail

Key Responsibilities

·  Ensure guest rooms are cleaned as per brand/ policy standards
·  Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
·  Fill cart with supplies and transport cart to assigned area.
· 
Enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering.

· 
Replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms.

· 
Replace dirty linens with clean items and make beds.

· 
Clean bathrooms.

· 
Remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items.

· 
Check that all appliances are present in the room and in working order.

· 
Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances.

· 
Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings.

· 
Vacuum carpets and performs floor care duties (e.g., in guest rooms and hallway).

· 
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; properly store flammable materials.

· 
Ensure uniform is neat and properly attired to at all times

· 
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.

· 
Speak with others using clear and professional language.

· 
Support team to reach common goals.

· 
You need to be able to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces.

· 
Flexible to work in other housekeeping areas such as Soil Room, Linen room, Public Area and Turndown necessary training will be given for each area.

· 
Perform other duties as requested.
