The Fairfield by Marriott Michi-no Eki portfolio of hotels will be across five prefectures in Japan – Kyoto, Wakayama, Mie, Gifu and Tochigi. This is a long-standing collaboration with Japanese real estate developer, Sekisui House. Each of the hotels will be newly-built standalone properties featuring between 49 to 96 rooms with its own warm atmosphere, located within short walking distance of the roadside service areas of Michi-no-Eki that will provide a convenient access to notable leisure attractions in the region. All properties are expected to open by 2021, with the first dozen hotels scheduled to open in late 2020.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Finance Administrative Assistant to provide support to the Director of Finance and Finance Department by managing daily accounting tasks and administration jobs.

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail, also managing all duties in Finance Department working efficiently and communicating with inside/outside stakeholders such as Owner and Hotels.


Responsibilities
· 
Support Director of Finance and Finance Department Jobs; AP/AR tasks, including Inter-Company transactions:

· 
Post and process journal entries with SUN/PeopleSoft to ensure all business transactions are recorded.

· 
Accounts Receivable - Update accounts receivable and issue invoices

· 
Accounts Payable and - Manage vendor payments and employee reimbursements, and update accounts payable and perform reconciliations including Bank Accounts and Corporate Cards.

·  Handle Petty Cash
· 
Assist Director of Finance in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings

·  Assist with other Finance Department projects
· 
Support administration tasks, such as answering directing phone calls, ordering stationeries, arranging meetings, filings, making sure all HR procedures of staff in Finance Department.

· 
Any other ad hoc jobs as assigned by Director of Finance.

Requirements
· 
Proven experience as an accountant, especially Account Payable and Receivable.

· 
Basic knowledge of Consumption Tax. (exempt, non-exempt).

·  Great attention to detail
·  Excellent knowledge and skills of Excel.
·  Good with numbers and figures
·  Self-starter and Learning
·  3rd grade of Bookkeeping or above.
· 
Familiarity with relevant computer software; Finance and Microsoft Office is a PLUS

· 
Basic written and reading communication skills in English.

·  At least 2 years of related work experience.
· 
Telephone Etiquettes and communication following to standard Japanese Protocols
