Owned by multinational developer, Far East Consortium, The Ritz-Carlton, Perth will be a prominent anchor point within Perth's Elizabeth Quay development. Sitting just 30 metres from the waterfront, the 205-room hotel will occupy a 28-storey tower, which will also include a selection of impressive residential apartments. The Ritz-Carlton, Perth, together with The Towers at Elizabeth Quay, an upscale residential development located beside the hotel, will sit atop exclusive retail space, fine-dining experiences, and waterfront access. The Ritz-Carlton, Perth will also offer guests world-class amenities, including four distinctive restaurants and bars. The hotel is also ideally positioned to accommodate conference and meeting space demand in the city with 2,000 square metres of conference space, including a spacious 572 square metres ballroom fitted with the latest AV technology. Other facilities at the hotel include a Fitness Centre, which offers a gym, spa, and outdoor infinity swimming pool, while an open-roof courtyard with tropical, landscaped gardens creates a resort feel in a bustling city.

The hotel is set to open November 2019.

Ideal candidate profile



Qualifications :

Reporting to the Chief Engineer. A qualified Electrician with passion to work within the luxury hotel environment. A person who can provide a high level of service to our guests and associates and willing to carry out the following tasks and responsibilities.

·
Respond and attend to guests' and associates' repair/work requests in guestrooms, public areas and kitchen areas.

·
Communicate with guests/associates to resolve maintenance issues with little to no supervision.

·
Perform maintenance on tools and operating equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.

·
Carry out routine inspection on building and grounds and critical equipment within your shift (e.g. generator, HVAC related equipment, cold and hot water system, fire alarm system, waste water and sewage system, MATV, communication system, refrigeration and kitchen equipment.

·
Perform mid-level troubleshooting and maintenance of MEP related equipment.

·
Attend kitchen equipment's troubleshooting and work request

·
Carry out test and tag work and RCD test.

·
Carry out daily work report and regularly logs utility meter readings.

·
Daily log and record major equipment's mechanical and electrical reading and report any abnormalities to the Chief Engineer.

·
Monitor and operate BMS at minimum access level and report any abnormalities to the Chief Engineer.

·
Display working knowledge of all engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance, energy management, work request system and other systems, including devices that interact with such programs.

·
Respond and attend to minor and handy carpentry work request.

·
Carry equipment (e.g., tools, walkie talkies).

·
Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and shut-offs for buildings.

·
Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.

·
Monitor and coordinate any contractor's working within your shift.

·
Respond to fire alarm as part of Emergency Response Team within your shift.

·
Attend monthly engineering meeting and regular morning brief.

·
Attend event meetings when required.

·
Assure each day's activities and problems that occur are communicated to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.

·
Participate in the Energy Management Program.

·
Display proficiency in any one of the following categories, above average skills in two more of the following categories and basic skills in the remaining categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building management.

Display solid knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools and other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks.

·
Display basic ability to repair or replace PVC copper pipe (including soldering).

·
Troubleshoot and perform repair on all types of equipment (e.g., pump and motor replacement), plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical and mechanical equipment including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches, bulbs, aircon filters, sockets and other guestroom items.

Program TV's and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related duties.

·
Use the Lockout/Tagout and/or any required safety requirement before performing any maintenance work.

·
Participate and follow all company's safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and properly store flammable materials.

·
Ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.

·
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.

·
Adhere to quality expectations and standards.

·
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.

·
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
