PURPOSE:

To support day-to-day textile testing activities and projects for Victoria’s Secret, Pink and internal partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for providing in-house textile testing to support internal teams and projects (e.g. Raw Materials, Product Development, Raw Materials, Quality Management)
• Responsible for understanding of L Brands Performance Standards and executing related testing methods
• Support technical data collection and analysis
• Support Innovation/Product Development project documentation
• Support the development of new testing methods and performance standards
• Create and upload laboratory testing reports
• Support sample preparation and shipping
• Assist Sr Lab Technologist with any special projects. Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of a 2 year Associate Degree study in a technical discipline, or 1-2 years equivalent practical experience in the Textile/Retail industry
• Previous experience on materials or textiles testing preferred
• BS in Textile Technology, Textile Chemistry or Textile Engineering is desired.
• Ability to read, interpret and follow technical testing methods.
• Basic knowledge of PC data entry, word processing and spreadsheets/Excel required
• Good organizational and prioritization skills required to keep track of lab information
• Excellent record keeping and meticulous test results recording essential

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Responsible to create and document, personal Performance Objectives (PPO) yearly.
• Responsible for self assessment at mid year and end of year on PPO.
• Responsible for creating your own individual Development Planning (IDP) yearly.
• Responsible to attend scheduled touch base with supervisor/manager.
• Responsible for maintaining open communication with your supervisor on open issues that you can not resolve yourself on your related responsibilities.
• Responsible for any other duties that are requested by your supervisor.
