The Paralegal supporting Real Estate Leasing will be accountable for reviewing, drafting and negotiating standard template form leases, amendments and other legal documents. The Paralegal will perform routine legal research as needed and support attorneys on legal projects and assignments. The Paralegal will interface with cross-functional partners in support of operational and strategic decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities and areas of focus include, but are not limited to:
• Draft and negotiate language related to landlord/developer or tenant template lease forms, general contracts, lease amendments, renewals and/or rent relief agreements, including for non-capital real estate projects on short form templates
• Draft and negotiate estoppel certificates and subordination / non-disturbance agreements
• Operate with a lens of understanding for business and legal concepts related to commercial leases
• Review lease files to answer organizational business questions
• Partner with various stakeholders throughout the organization including Real Estate, Store Design and Construction, Store Operations, etc.
• Support attorneys in mitigating risk by ensuring lawful compliance regarding real estate regulations and guidelines
• Seek to interpret lawful principles in a manner that supports organizational goals and initiatives Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
• Communicate in a highly effective manner, through both verbal and written mediums, with internal and external customers
• Demonstrate strong organization, attention to detail, and tracking skills with the ability to work independently
• Work collaboratively in a team-based environment
• Conduct all work in an ethical, professional and confidential manner
• Demonstrate and implements a continuous improvement mindset

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
• Bachelor's degree with a preferred focus in Business
• Paralegal certification and/or degree in Paralegal Studies
• 2-4 years’ legal experience with a law firm and/or in-house counsel
• Preferred experience in tracking critical dates and timelines to prepare, meet or exceed key milestones
• Strong PC skills. Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with Access would be beneficial.
