Description

The Merchandise Planner for Bath & Body Works Direct is responsible for the planning/forecasting of product merchandising categories. Generates and analyzes statistical data, analyzes and revises the financial plans in support of the business initiatives and budget objectives. Reports to Sr. Planner, Merchandise Planning. No direct reports. Must possess the ability to:
• Coordinate and communicate Store financial strategies & interpretation for Direct channel, assortment architecture, pricing and promotions, merchandise plans, margin targets, purchases, exit strategies, timing, planning calendar
• Maintain SKU level forecasts that are updated monthly or more frequently based on needs of the business, inclusive of units, sales dollars, and margin. Identifies trend changes and impacts to business
• Collaborate with BBWS partners & BBWD Inventory Deployment team on launch & reactive buys.
• Work with Central Planning in identifying targets for pre-season and in-season
• *Present business trends and forecast to management in weekly business review & monthly MPR (Monthly Planning Review)
• Develop long term forecasts to act as basis for seasonal architecture to meet business needs
• Review and provide seasonal hindsights for cross-functional team

Qualifications

Qualifications
• Three to five years retail planning or relevant business experience
• Proven track record of being an active partner and team player across multiple departments
• Organized with strong written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple prioritiesand meet deadlines
• Expert technical skill proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Expert technical skill proficiency using Arthur and/or MSI tools preferred; other retail planning systems experience, an asset
• Two years of catalogue, internet or stores retail experience, an asset
• Thorough knowledge of the web, an asset
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, operations, economics, business, statistics or equivalent experience
