MAJOR FUNCTION

Responsible for contributing to the Augmented Beauty Métier / Clarisonic Development formulation in innovative product development for the skincare category.  Candidate will utilize knowledge and experience from a skincare technology background in order to create complex, disruptive products and collaborate with the International device development teams. Candidate will work in a team-oriented environment with strong collaboration within R&I globally, to ensure a smooth transition of products and technologies from upstream departments to the development teams, and develop formulas intended for pairing with new diagnostics or devices for launch. This candidate will have solid personal/communication skills, as this role will interact with several different groups on both a local and global level in order to establish new deliverables, as well as support the natural progression of product development.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

·  Contributes and creates new formula technologies from concept to product, focusing on consumer need gaps and trends.
·  Follows through on all aspects of projects under tight deadlines.
·  Collaborates and works effectively in a team-oriented international environment (Device Development Teams and Marketing teams).
·  Communicates technologies effectively to different global functions within the company (DI/CMI, PPE, marketing, etc.)
·  Develops a wide knowledge base of the competitor’s patent environment and helps to implement patent strategies to safeguard internal technologies for formulation. JOB REQUIREMENTS

·  Minimum BS or BA Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related scientific discipline with 2-5 years of work experience.
·  Ideal candidate will also possess strong knowledge of product innovation and development processes.
·  Multi-tasking skills to manage several projects.
·  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
·  Excellent communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
·  Multi-lingual skills desirable, particularly Chinese, Japanese or Korean.
·  Must be legally eligible to work in the US on an on-going basis.
