Tax Assistant – Bristol
The Role
The role entails working with entrepreneurial businesses, shareholder owned companies and high net worth individuals providing a mixture of advice and compliance services on a wide range of personal tax matters. This would be a mixed compliance and advisory role.
More specifically, some of the responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring the delivery of a high quality personal tax service to our clients.
• Managing a portfolio of clients including partnerships, trusts, non-resident and non-domiciled individuals.
• Providing personal tax advice on a wide range of areas including inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and international tax matters.
• Working proactively with senior team members.
• Project managing tax advisory and compliance work to ensure risk management and compliance procedures are met.
• Managing work in progress and working with engagement managers on all financial aspects.
Qualifications, skills and experience :
• Qualified or part-qualified accountant or tax advisor with prior experience of working in a similar environment with exposure to compliance and advisory work.
• Academically strong results in career to date.
• An ability to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative.
• A commitment to clients, colleagues and KPMG.
• Strong interpersonal skills are required in addition to strong oral and written communication skills.
