Area of Expertise

The technical expert will have hands-on experiences in preparation of technical drawing for building construction. The expert will possess necessary technical and theoretical knowledge in the field of housing and capabilities for development of a technical documentation (all necessary programs from concept design to presentation, materialization and visualization of architectural and urban design solutions).

Duties and responsibilities

· To work closely with key experts of the TA (Technical Assistance) project team, other technical experts and TA project beneficiaries and stakeholders;

· To maintain communication with institutions dealing with issuance of documents required for development of project technical documentation;

· To develop detailed designs which are consistent with the design concepts;

· To resolve detailed designs sufficiently well enough as to obtain agreement and authorization to proceed to documentation for its translation into built form;

· To follow all relevant laws and regulations covering housing in Serbia as well as laws and regulations covering design technical documentation;

· To continuously comply with project briefs and project timeline;

· To implement activities in line with the professional practice, existing laws in Republic of Serbia and best interests of project beneficiaries;

· To display high level of ethical and professional values.

Expected results
Technical and professional support in development of up-to 30 sets of technical documentation required for construction and up-to 30 urban planning /technical documents according to Law on Construction in Serbia for Roma settlements (through necessary text, calculation and drawings in architectural projects, preparation of draft 3D models for visualization, design and presentations)

Qualification & Skills

· University degree in a relevant field of Architecture, where at least 4 years of studies have been completed

· Possession of required skills in development of 2D architectural drawings (AutoCAD, ArchiCad, Revit)

· Possession of required skills in development of 3D architectural drawings and materialisation (3Ds Max, Rhino, SkachUp)

· Fluency in Serbian and working knowledge of English language are must

General Professional Experience

· Minimum 3, preferably 5 years of postgraduate experience in resolving housing issues, preparation and development of projects solutions of architectural design, development of architectural drawings, 3D design and visualization.

Specific Professional Experience

· Minimum 1, preferably 3 years in development of design and graphic processing for presentation of projects (Photoshop, Corel Draw);

· Minimum 2 awarded architectural / urban design projects;

· Specialisation in the field of housing development projects,

Participation in at least one similar project aiming at improvement of living conditions of vulnerable groups
Civil servants and other staff currently employed by public administrations of the beneficiary country are not eligible to apply as experts. Experts must be independent and free from conflicts of interest regarding the responsibilities defined by the Terms of Reference.
