We are looking for an experienced Data and Analytics Analyst to join our Advisory department, which is providing tailor-made solutions in an innovative environment.

Job purpose

Within the Lighthouse team, you will be able to leverage your knowledge to transform the way technology supports organizations to increase their performance and maximize their value. Doing so, you will automate business processes, support identification of process optimization opportunities and provide input on infrastructure set-ups.

You will have the ability to grow quickly in a challenging and fast moving environment, where you will be given significant responsibilities but also the opportunity to contribute your ideas to support our clients in their innovation strategy and their search for operational excellence.

Major duties and responsibilities

·  Explore business challenges, help solve complex issues via D&A related services or solutions

·  Assess, capture, and translate complex business issues and requirements into structured analytics use cases

·  Together with our D&A specialists and technology partners, help define innovative solutions and work on projects in financial services, regulatory compliance, industry 4.0 and digital transformation in manufacturing

·  Build algorithms and software prototypes, code and more

·  Interact with business leaders and functional experts to understand current and future business challenges and needs

·  Proactively broaden and deepen internal relationships by working with senior-level KPMG advisory colleagues

·  Assist the pre-sale activities (in collaboration with the department heads)

·  Participate in the continual development of data-driven advisory and KPMG services

·  Assist the design and development of tools and technology, working with data scientists, data integration teams and visualization experts to deliver analysis that fits the needs

Requirements to access to this function

·  Education requirements : Master degree in a business or technical field with working knowledge of topics such as analytics, BI visualization, statistics, machine learning, data management and cloud computing
·  Minimum 3 years of exposure in the data & analytics space, having expertise with the design or development of D&A related solutions

·  Fluent in English (French and German as second language is an asset)

Knowledge / Technical Skills

·  Demonstrated analytics solution design and build expertise, strong business consulting acumen in applying data & analytics to solve business issues, and knowledge of business operational, process, delivery, and revenue models

·  Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and analytics-driven findings to business people including C-level executives, and to explain business processes, concepts, challenges, and issues to technical resources

·  You have a commercial mindset and like to talk with clients about our service offerings and how we can help them

·  You are enthusiastic about complex projects and actively look for solutions to cope with challenges and problems

·  You are a team player, eager to help grow younger or less experienced consultants

·  Understanding of market trends, new technologies, and how they impact companies and society (e.g., Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Deep learning ...)

·  Excellent interpersonal skills and change management mindset, experience in organizational change management is a plus

·  You can translate a long term vision or plan into short term actions

·  Following software development, best practices, and principles

·  Optional : Experience in Natural Language Processing and text analytics or a keen interest to learn and grow in the respective area by acquiring hands-on experience
