Job description



We are looking for two IT System Engineer to join KPMG Regulated Services (PSF) providing tailor-made solutions in a dedicated secure environment.

About the team and responsibilities

With our multidisciplinary team of 30 people we advise clients in the Financial Sector (Banking, Asset Management, and Insurance) on all aspects of Governance and Regulatory Compliance. We assist our clients in better understanding of the regulatory environment and identify laws and regulations that have impact on their activities. We add value by providing solutions which include innovation and efficiency.

Job purpose

The IT System Engineer maintains and optimizes the container infrastructure and KPMG Software Factory Infrastructure. He/she works on the supervision, backup and continuous enhancement and evolution of the IT Development and operations Project and related infrastructures.

Major duties and responsibilities

·  Installs and maintains KPMG container infrastructure and KPMG Software Factory Infrastructure;

·  Ensures and manages infrastructure security, maintenance, performance, recoverability and reliability;

·  Implementation and preservation of the security measures defined in the Information Security Policy and applicable procedures;

·  Implementation and preservation of the technical measures necessary for the correct operation of the Business Continuity process and perform the testing of backup restoration according to the Business Continuity Planning;

·  Setup and maintains containers applications;

·  Ensures all container services are backed up in a way that meets the business Recovery Point Objectives (RPO);

·  Ensures that deployed services are well monitored;

·  Perform as applicable: user account management, change management and asset inventory update;

·  Maintains and improves the related Documentation;

·  Manages Big Data services: SQL and NoSQL Database services (MariaDB, MongnDB...); Log Collection and Management solution (ELK); Analytics Engine infrastructure support (Spark); Data Transformation System (CloverETL).

Requirements to access to this function

·  Education requirements: Bachelor or Master degree in IT

·  Work experience requirements: 3+ years in Software Engineering or System Administration

·  Fluent in English (French, German or Luxemburgish will be considered as an advantage)

Knowledge / Technical Skills

·  Container ecosystem (Docker / Kubernetes)

·  Linux and configuration management tools (like Ansible, cloud-config...)

·  Experience within the management of complex infrastructure design, and critical production environment

·  Knowledge on Monitoring, Load-balancing, Proxying Solution

·  Good knowledge of scripting language (Bash, Python, PowerShell...)
