Transport Administrator

Job description

We are currently seeking to recruit an Administrator to join the Drinks Logistics Secondary Transport Team, working in a busy area of our KN Drinks Logistics site in Newton Heath.

Your Role

KN Drinks Logistics is a wholly owned business within the KN group, providing a national platform for the distribution of drinks and associated services to retail outlets across the UK. This role demands a sound knowledge of Transport Logistics, a good telephone manner, the ability to work effectively within strict time constraints in a demanding environment and a considered and proactive approach to providing quality customer services. The role is based on a Monday - Friday shift pattern on rotating shifts with occasional Saturday requirements.

Your Responsibilities

·  Clear communications to drivers and customers (both telephone and e-mail)
·  Adhering to Health & Safety, Fire & Security requirements to provide a safe working environment
·  Liaise with the customer service team with clear and accurate information and updates
·  Handling and investigating customer queries effectively and efficiently
·  Produce and issue load manifests to drivers (both internal and external)
·  Accurate production of daily warehouse and fleet reports. Accurate data entry for POD’s and other requirements
·  Conducting effective driver debriefs
·  Meeting and continually striving to exceed the establishment service levels and standards
·  Any other ad-hoc duties as required by the business

Your Skills and Experiences

·  Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
·  Ability to use own initiative with great attention to detail
·  Excellent time-keeping and punctuality with a desire to develop and excel
·  Effective written and oral communication
·  Customer focused with commitment to achieving high standards of service
·  Good team player with a proactive attitude to problem solving
·  PC Skills: Excel, Word, and knowledge of SAP/LES would be beneficial
·  Full Driving License preferred but not essential
