Looking for the next step in your freight forwarding career? We have an exciting vacancy for an experiences Pricing Analyst to assist our Pricing Manager in procuring rates, handling RFQ's, and general guidance to our Sales and Operations teams.

Your Role

The National Pricing Team is the engine room of our business, responsible for providing timely and competitive pricing to Air and Sea Freight departments. We currently are an opportunity for a Pricing Analyst, to support the Pricing Desk Manager with Pricing, Procurement and providing advice and guidance to our Sales and Operations teams.

Your Responsibilities

·  Acquiring and compiling sale rates for import and export air and sea freight (LCL & FCL) quote requests from external/internal customers
·  Making competitive and strategic pricing decisions
·  Maintaining rate kits for existing customers on a monthly/quarterly or annual basis
·  Procurement and maintenance of Seafreight rates in conjunction with local carriers and Regional trade office
·  Managing local RFQ's when required

Your Skills and Experiences

·  Strong operational background in freight forwarding and understanding of the New Zealand International forwarding market
·  5 years experience in a similar position within a freight forwarder, airline or shiping line - has had exposure to rates and/or costings would be advantageous (Customer Service, Operations, etc.)
·  Exceptional eye for detail, methodical, and analytical
·  Comfortable working towards tight deadlines and remaining calm under pressure
·  Strong computer literacy, particularly in managing databases, fast and accurate keystroke rate, as well as an aptitude in picking up new systems quickly
·  Proven success in building positive working relationships with others
