Job description

Coordinating the Quality Safety Health and Environment department, you will focus on continuing the momentum of QSHE within the business in Portugal.

Your Role

With overall responsibility for QSHE you will positively influence and educate our employees, and support our customers and suppliers in driving a continuous improvement agenda in the area.

Your Responsibilities

·  Coordinate QSHE strategy implementation and execution and programs on national Level.
·  Implement and manage QSHE standards, monitor adherence, train employees, audit QSHE standards, measure QSHE performance, manage QSHE risks and support internal/external customers.
·  Ensure excellent Health & Safety Management and Education across the organization in Portugal according to (ISO 45001 an local legislations).
·  Coordinate and Manage all Security duties in accordance with KN corporate and regional and national QSHE and Security requirements and standards (ISO 28001; AEO and others) to develop and implement KN security system and guidelines.
·  Coordinate all activities to ensure that all sites acquire new certifications based on KN needs and maintain current certifications status.
·  Coordinate functional strategies and standards (e.g. 9001/9100) in Portugal.
·  Develop excellence in communications, ensuring clear and timely internal information flows to educate and motivate colleagues around QSHE.
·  Manage environmental continuous performance improvement and support certification implementation (ISO 140001).
·  Establish and consolidate a group culture and awareness on dangerous goods/hazardous material (DG/HazMat) for all business and functional units on national level.
·  Work closely with the National Directors and QSHE Support Teams to align the overall QSHE strategy on local, regional and global levels.

Your Skills and Experiences

·  Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Quality Management or similar.
·  Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing ISO 9001/Quality, ISO 14001/Environment and ISO 45001/Safety&Health standards.
·  Knowledge and experience in our Industry (Preferred).
·  Certification – CAP TSHST Level IV or VI (Preferred).
·  A demonstrated history of driving the culture of quality, safety and security in a large organization.
·  A team player; able to work with cross-functional teams, including all levels of management.
·  The ability to influence, negotiate and resolve conflicts at internal and external board level.
·  Fluent in English, with high level verbal and written communication skills.
