National Overland Operations Coordinator (Part-Time)

Are you looking for a Part-Time (Evenings & weekends) position where you can expand your expertise and showcase your skillsets?

Your Role

The Overland Operations Coordinator is a Part-Time, evenings and weekends position where you will work alongside other members of the department and/or branch offices and contribute on a daily basis to a positive team atmosphere.

Your Responsibilities

•Manage administration requirements within the department;
•Coordinate North American trucking operations, including rate negotiations with carriers and clients/customers;
•Maintain data integrity, ensure data entry into the Transportation Management System and other internal systems is completed to quality and accuracy standards;
•Coordinate invoicing system, ensure invoices sent to clients as well as invoices received from carriers are processed in an accurate and timely manner (this includes but is not limited to shipment discrepancies, invoice audits, and key performance indicators where required);
•Drive effective communication at all times, ensure prompt and professional verbal and written communication with all internal and external customers;
•Resolve and document carrier discrepancies with accuracy and attention to detail, and according to ISO and other applicable requirements;
•Maintain and update all Working Instructions, ensure instructions comply with ISO Quality Management procedures and other applicable requirements;
•Other duties as assigned to you from time to time by the company.

Your Skills and Experiences

•  Diploma /Degree in International Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred;
•    2+ years industry experience in Freight Forwarding and or Transportation, including experience with Road Transportation specifically;
•    2+ years’ operations, with administration experience and customer service;
•    Experience with Transborder shipping requirements;
•    Strong knowledge of North American Geography;
•    Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written);
•    Strong organization and time management skills required.
•    Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
•    Professional accreditation (CIFFA, CITT) is considered an asset;
•    Experience within a TMS is considered an asset;
•    Advanced computer skills, including full proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
