National Air Logistics Training Manager

Have you got great facilitation and presentation skills with sound knowledge of operational Airfreight processes and systems? If this sounds like you, we have an exciting new role for a National Air Logistics Training Manager.

Your Role

You'll be the subject matter expert for all training for all of our Air Logistics operational colleagues (circa 200 people), ensuring they receive the appropriate level of training to successfully perform their duties. The training focus will be around operational processes and systems, but in the longer term will also include additional elements around customer service or finance. We're looking for a consistent level of training delivery so that our colleagues receive the relevant support and training to do so. You'll also build a strong internal network across all stakeholders to ensure that training meets the required standards to maximise business unit potential.

Your Responsibilities

·  Assume overall accountability for the Air Logistics training programme.
·  Ensure Learning@KN (our in-house learning system) is updated with all courses and create a learning path for Air Logistics in Learning@KN.
·  Create the Air Logistics training plan, concepts and material, ensuring each operational colleague receives the required training as per targets and plan, co-ordinate and deliver the on boarding training for new hires into the business unit.
·  Maintain the relevant intranet (myKN) tools, information, documentation and materials.
·  Work collaboratively with senior stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, that best practice and learning content is shared regionally and globally and that training is at an appropriate level.
·  Develop training content in line with market trends and local requirements and deliver end user training as required and ensure annual refresher training is completed.
·  Facilitate and support organisational change as required and ensure that staff list is maintained in line with training matrix.
·  Understand and adhere to national and local QSHE policies, ensure these are incorporated appropriately into training and ensure compliance with company, industry and legal standards is adhered to across the function.

Your Skills and Experiences

·  A sound understanding of operational Air Logistics systems and processes.
·  Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) are a must as are facilitation and presentation skills; you'll also be a confident public speaker and able to command your audience effectively.
·  A creative thinker, with research skills and a genuine enthusiasm for lifelong learning.
·  Self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative and deliver to agreed actions on time, so good organisational and time management skills are critical.
·  Great attention to detail and with proficient in MS Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  It would also be beneficial if you have an understanding of content authoring tools, video editing software and Computer Based Training (CBT) creation.
·  Able to work on your own effectively but operate as a key team member in the Airfreight business unit.
·  Strong interpersonal skills and with a flexible approach; you'll be travelling nationally and overseas (a full drivers licence will be required).
