Human Resources Generalist (15 Month Contract)

The Human Resources Generalist is a key part of the employee experience, ensuring employees at KN have the resources and support they need to contribute their success. Responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the human resources function together with National Manager, HR. Our ideal candidate is an enthusiastic self-starter with strong administration skills, a keen eye for details, and a passion for understanding the business and identifying opportunities to support. A willingness to go the extra mile!

Responsibilities:

·  Support with ongoing HR tasks including  recruitment, learning & development, employee relations, performance management, compensation & benefits and HR information systems
·  Act as HR contact and advisor to KN employees across Canada
·  Partner with the HR team in the execution of regional and national HR initiatives, programs and strategies
·  Seek and provide innovative solutions, explore opportunities to implement best practices and partner with the regions to enable achievement of targets and objectives
·  Cultivate relationships with internal and external customers ensuring that the HR service levels meet and exceed expectations
·  Consult and guide management on positive leadership practices, provide coaching on the resolution of sensitive employee situations, including performance improvement, disciplinary actions and organizational changes
·  Participate and attend meetings in branch locations across Canada, support local initiatives and seek to understand the various markets, local policies and procedures to streamline and improve HR practices 

The Ideal Candidate:

·  Completion of post-secondary education, with a focus in Human Resources
·  Experience working in a Human Resources Generalist function for 2+ years
·  Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills; quick to learn new systems
·  Strong Communication skills; verbal and written
·  Passionate about supporting an excellent employee experience
·  Dedicated to being organized and working efficiently with your time
·  Team player, Eager to work and build relationships with a wide variety of staff across departments and geographic regions
·  Keen for paying attention to detail and administrative skills
·  Committed to maintaining a level of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion
·  Curious by nature, seeking to understand the business, market and people in order to provide effective solutions
