Join a global and market-leading logistics company in a commercial and operational role as a Forwarder for our Overland business unit at Kuehne + Nagel Norway. You will join our highly dedicated and service-minded Overland department in Stavanger, Norway.

Your Role

As Forwarder, you will be responsible for the end-to-end handling of shipments in our Overland business unit. You will act as a key adviser and mediator between customers and suppliers of Kuehne + Nagel Norway. As Forwarder, you will offer and coordinate freight forwarding solutions in a timely and efficient manner to our customers, while ensuring the accuracy and quality of your work. Reporting to the Overland Department Manager in Stavanger, the scope of the position is to deliver operational excellence and best-in-class service to our Overland customers.

Your Responsibilities

·  Act as a trusted adviser on freight forwarding solutions for our clients in their respective industries
·  Optimise the operational logistics solutions on client contracts with an emphasis on quality and efficiency
·  Handling customer bookings while ensuring the timely movement of their goods
·  Shipment planning and handling of special shipments within road logistics
·  Booking of haulage with external suppliers
·  Manage suppliers costs and provide pricing quotations
·  Invoicing and financial control of income and cost
·  Scheduling deliveries and collections via third party transport providers
·  Dealing with all customer queries over the phone and e-mail while providing timely responses
·  Proactively provide information and communication flow to customers according to plan
·  Foster and develop good relations with both existing and potential customers to ensure potential cross-selling and growth

Your Skills and Experiences

·  Bachelor degree in Logistics or work experience from a similar role within the logistics industry, preferably road logistics
·  Sound knowledge of the operational processes in freight forwarding and road logistics
·  Demonstrated history of delivering high levels of quality and customer service
·  Service-minded and customer-oriented
·  Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary in order to communicate effectively with both customers and external suppliers
·  Fluency in oral and written Norwegian and good communication skills in English is a prerequisite for this role
