An opportunity to work for a leading global logistics organisation during the biggest political change in recent years! Kuehne + Nagel have 20 internship opportunities within their Overland department, supporting our customers through changes as a result of Brexit.

Your Role

Kuehne + Nagel UK is a market-leading logistics provider with over 100 strategic locations nationwide and over 14,000 employees, offering a full range of supply chain solutions to anywhere in the world. Our Overland department provides fast, reliable and cost-efficient groupage services throughout the whole of Europe, to provide tailored transportation or logistics services to our customers. As an organisation we have been working hard to ensure we are ready for any changes that occur as a result of Brexit. It is of upmost importance to us that we support our customers with a seamless transition to any new ways of working. As such, we have set up a dedicated team to support our customers through this period and the Customer Care Specialist will work as part of this team.

Your Responsibilities

Customer Care Specialist
14th October – 20th December 2019 (10 weeks)
Location: East Midlands Gateway (DE74 2BB)
Hours of work: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
Salary: £17,500 per annum (pro rata)
Plus bonus on completion of internship

 

What will you be doing?

·  Act as a point of contact for the customer to support hassle free border activity
·  Act as a conduit between the customer and KN departments
·  Manage overland customer data flows in a post-Brexit world
·  To secure information by phone and email
·  Record and document all customer Brexit information for on-going use
·  To manage and escalate any issues in a timely manner to enable corrective actions.
·  Ensure that all operational staff are informed of the customers post Brexit information for on-going activity

Your Skills and Experiences

·  Good level of PC literacy
·  Good organisational and administrative skills
·  An excellent communicator (both written & verbal)
·  Excellent attention to detail
·  The ability to work on your own initiative
·  Deliver agreed actions on time
·  Good query management skills

 

You MUST:

·  Have the Right to Work in the UK (we will accept visas where these are already in place)
·  Be available from and to dates specified above and be available for the whole duration of the internship
·  Be able to travel to the location of work (please note that the Company is unable to support with relocation or travel arrangements)
