If you love both data and people in equal measure, then we have the perfect opportunity for you to join our Business Information team as a Business Information Apprentice!

Your Role

During the apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to develop your talent in business analytics, learn how data depositories such as our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool are administered, understand how a Business Information Solution is managed, and how it aids commercial decision making. Moreover, you’ll also be exposed to various facets of the Sales organisation giving you insights to potential future career directions. Our Business Information team is integral to our UK Sales and Senior Management team – you’ll learn about the more technical elements of Sales, including reporting of Sales results, Customer segmentation, and Sales Targeting.

Your Responsibilities

·  Governance support of our UK CRM solution (this is called CoreLOG); you’ll be supporting with cleansing and administration of the data held within the CRM system, specifically updating records, transferring Customer accounts to Sales People within the system and ensuring a minimum Data Quality percentage is achieved on a monthly basis. You’ll also update Customer Financial records within the system and liaising with the Regional CRM Manager in the administration and provision of user Licences for Sales people.
·  Support in the production of weekly, bi-monthly and monthly reporting packs that are issued to the UK Board of Directors and our Sales Management Team as well as logging queries and follow-up, support with report creation and preparation for distribution.
·  The CRM system is used by over 200 internal sales people and you’ll be getting involved in investigation, query resolution, managing feedback (with the possibility for future development in conducting training sessions).
·  You could also gain exposure to learning the additional skills that are required in the implementation and maintenance of an effective Business Intelligence solution which could include creating and maintaining internal business intelligence systems, reporting and also working with all levels of the organisation to help management fully understand and utilise the data at their disposal.
·  We would also like you to have the opportunity to experience other areas of the sales organisation by providing support on an ad-hoc basis to the sales channels (Field Sales / National Key Accounts Teams/Branch Sales) and Sales support teams.
·  As a backup to the CRM Super- User, you could deal with systems process queries and provide support to various CRM projects as well as getting involved in the training courses for CRM users and preparing user guides.

Your Skills and Experiences

·  Educated to degree level or higher, and/or relevant work experience would be advantageous (although isn’t essential).
·  No experience required as training would be provided – that said prior commercial experience would be advantageous.  
·  IT skills are desirable – we will of course need to train you on our systems.
·  We’re looking for a candidate with good numeracy/literacy /presentation and communication skills -  building relationships with your colleagues and stakeholders is really important.
·  You’ll be confident with numbers and have a keen interest or understanding of data – we will of course provide training as well.
·  You’ll be working with data so you’ll have a keen eye for detail, be focussed and able to produce high quality work.
·  We are looking for someone who will challenge, be inquisitive, enthusiastic and someone who is driven to learn.
