Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain agreed levels of availability to branches and other demand streams throughout the year, taking into account events and activities that impact demand on their lines. Ensure stock flows freely through the central warehouses by adhering to the agreed goods-in capacity and utilising Capacity Management appropriately. Maintain appropriate financial stock levels and stock cover of their lines in central warehouses through regular system maintenance. Investigate availability issues on lines within their area of responsibility, informing their Lead Stock Controller and Forecaster and to provide solutions to Product Supply Manager and Buyer. Identify supplier performance issues and inform the Product Supply Manager or Supplier Performance Manager and subsequently work with suppliers and buyers to resolve issues and improve availability. Chair and attend relevant business meetings as necessary. Keep up to date with new processes and procedures and to take the initiative in offering solutions to problems and by continually reviewing their own area to identify improvements. Review and place orders where appropriate and provide delivery times to the suppliers they are responsible for whilst remaining GSCoP compliant.
Job Requirements
To manage and order a group of lines into the central warehouses, ensuring an appropriate level of stock is maintained at all times and supplier performance is maintained at agreed levels.
You will review and analyse performance supporting the Assistant Merchandiser/Merchandiser in the Assortment Planning process.
Required essential experience skills and qualifications
Previous stock controlling experience preferred.
GCSE or equivalent English & Maths
Required desirable experience skills and qualifications
Computer literate as well as a knowledge of Supply Chain
Able to analyse data
