Overview  

We are excited to have you join the Jones Lang LaSalle Technologies group as a Strategy and Corporate Development intern!  You will work on complex high-tech problems by undertaking research, designing and executing analysis and helping frame and structure complex problems. You will work closely with other team members and stakeholders to accelerate our impact and directly contribute to our overall business strategy.  

Our Strategy and Corporate Development team is tasked with identifying and delivering on transformative revenue growth opportunities while also supporting strategy projects.  As a key member of our team you will participate in ongoing enterprise and market strategy and multi-year planning activities.  

Success  and  g oals of the  i nternship  

· 
Support corporate strategy projects to address the company’s most pressing global questions  

· 
Collect and analyze large data sets (quantitative and qualitative) and synthesize insights. 

· 
Help develop inputs for the creation of frameworks to tackle complex problems; drive quantitative rigor in decision-making. 

· 
Conduct hands-on analyses to help structure complex problems, develop hypotheses, and suggest recommendations through a data driven process. 

· 
Help develop compelling recommendations, communicated in high-quality output. 

· 
Support cross-functional teams (e.g. product BUs) to identify opportunity, unlock productivity and accelerate execution. 

Examples of s pecific tasks and projects  

As an intern you will be assigned to a team focused on a specific project such as: IWMS Execution or Re-imagine Occupier and Facilities Management/ Property Management (FM/PM).Following are a few example tasks you might be working on: 

IWMS Execution project 

· 
Competitive analysis of specific target markets such as coworking enablement, space management, visitor management, IoT platform and connectivity devices, etc.  The analysis will include identification and profiling of vendors as well prioritization of targets. 

· 
Project management activities during due diligence when approaching acquisition targets. 

Re-imagine Occupier and FM/PM 

· 
Competitive analysis of specific submarkets. The analysis will include identification and profiling of vendors as well prioritization of targets. 

· 
Analysis of Corporate Solutions and Digital Solutions quotes to get a sense of share of wallet of the technology components by customer segment.  

· 
Work with JLL Research on structuring and conducting research to assess what technologies are currently in use in the broader market. 

· 
Analysis to compare valuation multiples of services versus software companies, SaaS companies versus on premises software, in the IoT market - software vs hardware vs blended software/hardware companies. 

Internal communications 

· 
Market intelligence newsletter: read industry reports and publications and summarize most important articles and help create weekly newsletter.
