Maintenance Mechanic

Job description



Responsibilities:

·  Follows all safety policies and procedures, maintains strict attention to detail when working on job sites
·  Work closely with a facilities team and be able to multi task get to jobs completed
·  Provides excellent customer service by utilizing professional and effective language, communication and timely follow-through
·  Ability to safely operate equipment/power tools used in carpentry and maintenance task
·  Minor plumbing repairs, including replacement of piping, running a snake to unclog drains, replacement and changing flushing fixtures, re-seating toilets, replacing faucets and caulking of fixtures
·  General office/building repairs including door and ceiling repair, installation of various wall hanging systems, carpet and floor tile removal and install, cabinet repairs, etc..
·  Participate in the PM schedule to support and maintain assigned systems.
·  Maintains inventory and requisitions maintenance parts and materials through facility ordering system
·  Works with a computerized Facility Maintenance Corrigo program 
·  Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required 
·  Visually inspect buildings

Knowledge and Personal skills:

Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written.

Provides excellent customer service by utilizing professional and effective language, communication and timely follow-through

Experience, Education, and Training:

Education - High school diploma or equivalent

 One year previous experience or completion of a vocational school program

Special knowledge and skills - Some skills in electrical, plumbing and mechanical aptitude a must.

Physical Requirements:

Experience prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping and stretching

Ability to climb ladders up to 40 feet and lift 60 lbs repeatedly

Desire to work in a fast paced, office and manufacturing facility

Building inspections require getting on hands and knees to reach areas difficult to access.

Ability to frequently walk up and down stairs for inspections and emergency procedure practice or implementation
