Job description



• Performs ongoing preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting and repairs of facility -installed fixtures, walls and flooring, roofing systems, equipment, and other components.

• General interior maintenance - hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems and repair doors.

• Prepare spaces and paint facilities as needed

• Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on found conditions.

• Assist the operations team and engineers in maintenance and repair efforts as well as independently performing defined tasks as directed.

• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

• Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary and comply with all safety procedures.

• Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate.

• Complete Written Hazard Assessments as required.

• Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas.

• Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.

• Complies with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials.

• Ability to use electric, hand tools, power tools, and specialized tools required to execute the position responsibilities.

• Ability to safely climb ladders, work at elevation from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, roofs or platforms, and the ability to work in confined spaces.

• Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl.

• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

• Update work order status in real time, escalating problems or issues to Manager in a timely manner.

• The ability to work cooperatively with other technicians, supervisors, engineers, and managers.

• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions, and act accordingly.

• Troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem solving skills.

• Ability to identify complex problems, review related information, develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing quality customer service.

• Capable of working independently and exhibit effective time management skills.

• Willingness and ability to work overtime when needed for business purposes, or to be called-in to work in the event of emergency or business needs.

• Contributes recommendations and suggestion for work method and safety improvements.

• Must complete all required safety trainings as scheduled.

• Attend work and safety meetings as required.

• Personal attributes should include honesty, trustworthiness, respect for others, flexibility, and sound workplace ethics in a diverse environment.

• Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Have a minimum of 5 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical.

• Licenses as required by authority having jurisdiction.
