We are looking for a data scientist to join our Italian Research team

What these job involves

Working as part of the Research team in the Italian market, you will deliver intelligence, analysis and insight through market-leading reports and services. You will be supporting our Clients and our colleagues with real-time information and innovative thinking, creating a competitive advantage for our clients and drives successful strategies and optimal real estate decisions. You will be an active member of a team composed by more than 450 global research professionals that track and analyse economic and property trends and forecast future conditions in over 60 countries, producing unrivalled local and global perspectives.

In this role, you will apply your knowledge to support the exploration, enrichment and even creation of new datasets for research. You will use your knowledge of data blending and statistical analysis to upscale and automate the way we analyse, validate and visualise various data sources. You will build tooling to enable data science initiatives across the company.

 

Your role will include the following:

-         Primary tasks will be tracking the Italian real estate markets, collecting data across sectors, analysing and reporting on current real estate trends integrating multiple sources

-         Work with JLL business units to develop target market analyses and insights

-         Assist with the development of periodic reporting, including quarterly reports, slide decks and papers

-         Collaborate with other research colleagues in Europe on global research projects including contribution to the global research publications and quarterly data-cycle

Personal features

You have good listening and understanding skills and an international mind-set. You are curious and flexible, meticulous and open-minded, high proficient in statistical data analysis and data visualisation. You have good relationship management skills and have a strong team spirit.

Education and experience

You should have a Degree in Computer Science, Computer engineering, Mathematical Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics. You should have a previous consolidated professional experience in Business Intelligence projects and Big Data projects as Data Analyst for at least 3 years. An excellent working knowledge of English and Italian is an essential prerequisite (both written and verbal).

Technical competencies

We’ll expect you to have strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse information with attention to detail and accuracy, communication aptitude (written and verbal), data management capabilities, as well as an excellent knowledge of all the computer tools: Microsoft excel, power point, word, outlook, Power BI. GIS knowledge would be highly appreciated. Previous financial and real estate experience is not required, although an interest in the two sectors is desirable.
