Research / Data Analyst

We are currently seeking a Research/Data Analyst to join the Data Excellence team who will help to guide all aspects of the data platform for property data collected and analyzed for the Americas region. You will build upon and continue to elevate a best-in-class research program that differentiates JLL and drives a competitive advantage in the marketplace through market expertise, analysis and insight. Our Analyst will be responsible for achieving data excellence, to enhance our offerings in the areas of business intelligence, data visualization, and graphical output.

You will have primary responsibility for collecting, analyzing and orchestrating the upload of data, maintaining and constantly elevating the quality of our data, and working with local Research teams to achieve data-related objectives. Our Analyst will assist in tracking and analyzing the quality and comprehensiveness of data across local markets in the Americas to support research analytic products, client projects and business development efforts.

Our Analyst will work closely with JLL data teams both on shore and off shore, as well as colleagues throughout the Americas research group.

What this job involves:

·  Responsible for the collection and auditing of JLL’s proprietary database of commercial real estate properties, lease and sale comps and availabilities for all tracked property types
·  Collaborate with Data Excellence team colleagues, local market Researchers and the Technology, Data and Information Management team to execute the data collection, validation and auditing plan
·  Set up processes to ensure data excellence within our proprietary database, and regularly audit and refine datasets
·  Expand and improve the research platform, program, and output that demonstrates the firm’s market expertise through data excellence
·  Develop and share best practice standards for the region and the Americas Research Group
·  Develop strong relationships with onshore and offshore teams and facilitate the use of our technology tools
·  Monitor data completeness to achieve data validation and audit levels
·  Present to and train as needed internal teams to demonstrate our data excellence objectives and the tools and processes to achieve them
·  Leverage visualization tools to identify strengths and weaknesses in our data and execute remediation plans

·  High attention to detail
·  Strong organizational, data collecti0on, analysis, validation and auditing skills
·  Up to one year in commercial real estate research, economic and demographic analysis or closely related field
·  High level analytical skills and problem-solving ability and written and oral communication skills
·  Ability to multi-task, succeed under pressure and effectively manage time and workload
·  Proactive and strategic thinking and ability to align research data with the business and innovate process efficiency
·  Command of requisite technology including Excel, Word, SQL and database systems
·  Intermediate skill level with Tableau, PowerBI, Python and/or Alteryx preferred
·  Comfort with visualization tools
·  Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, statistics, computer science, data science or related field required
·  Motivated and self-starting with a desire to succeed and contribute to the success of a team
·  A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment
