About the role:

This position will gather information and report on major trends in China’s warehousing and logistics property (real estate) market. The role will include a considerable contribution to the quality and accuracy of research produced by JLL, production of thought leadership publications, tailored consulting projects, and development of a constantly-evolving “house view” on property.

What this job involves:

·  Use primary and secondary data sources to compile information on warehouses and distribution centers in the China market, and the rise of logistics hub cities throughout the country.
·  Hone expertise in local macro-economics, key industries like e-commerce, retail, third-party logistics (3PL), cold chain, manufacturing, and transport infrastructure.
·  Analyze data from 20+ cities around the country to draw conclusions about regional and national trends
·  Form an opinion on the state of the market and the outlook for future trends.
·  Write specialized market reports for data service subscribers as well as domestic and international clients keen to participate in the logistics sector.
·  Give presentations and client briefings on the property market in both English and Chinese.
·  Serve as point of contact for clients and coordinate efforts of analysts on the research team to respond to queries and provide outstanding client service.

·  Ideal candidates will have an educational background and work experience in logistics real estate, supply chain consulting, and/or e-commerce. Candidates should have familiarity with one or more of the following: logistics developers, 3PLs, supply chains and distribution networks, fulfilment centers, transportation networks, logistics parks, ports and airports, and big e-commerce firms like Alibaba, JD.com, etc.
·  Degrees in business or technical fields with analytical training will be considered. Graduate degree a major plus.
·  China-specific exposure to property investment in China and/or property-related consulting, urban planning, or other related field is a major plus.
·  Native fluency in Mandarin; communication and people skills are a key part of gathering insight in this field.
·  Advanced fluency in English; you will communicate in English with international clients and developers.
·  Able to work under tight deadlines in a fast paced, high-energy work environment. Comfortable with the fast pace and day to day shift in tasks.
·  Balance of strong quantitative/analytical skills and an ability to communicate clearly.
·  Superior competence in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with mapping and data visualization software such as ArcGIS and Tableau is a major plus.
