Australia’s most iconic private island welcomed a new era of luxury with IHG opening InterContinental Hayman Island Resort in July 2019 and we are currently seeking an experienced Spa Receptionist to join our growing Hayman Spa Team to deliver truly exceptional and unique luxury experiences.

Your day to day

Leaving the world behind as they enter a timeless, serene haven in the Resort’s luxurious wellness destination, the InterContinental spa, guests will retreat into an intimate, indulgent environment. It exudes a philosophy of sensory and sustainable treatments inspired by the surrounds and will evoke a distinct sense of place, heightening rejuvenation and self-actualisation. Adding a passionate and worldly team who can bring the InterContinental Life alive is the last puzzle piece for the Resort’s delivery of rich and personal experiences; expert therapists to create bespoke experiences that will unlock the mind and restore the body.

As a Spa Receptionist you’ll support the team to provide comfort and care and deliver soulful experiences that combine the traditional and contemporary across the spa journey.

Your day to day will involve;

·  Performing all spa reception duties including reservations, cashiering, answering telephone and other general enquiries as required.
·  Assisting in keeping the spa clean and tidy at all times; including treatment rooms, change rooms, wet areas, reception and back of house areas.
·  Anticipating and responding to guest needs.
What we need from you

With 1 – 2 years of experience as a Spa Receptionist, with 1-2 years experience as a Spa Therapist, you will hold a certificate IV or Diploma in Beauty Therapy or Massage. You will have good communication skills, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards alongside a passion for the industry. Demonstrated customer service skills and a proven track record in retail sales will also be key to your success.

Previous exposure to a remote island environment or within hotels and resorts would be a plus. However if you’re a confident professional who wants to utilise their strong technical skills and passion in to deliver unique luxury experiences, this new, diverse and challenging environment will also be for you.

You must also hold the appropriate work rights to work within Australia alongside an open driver’s license and be flexible to work weekends and evenings as required.
