Your day to day

The Manager of Operations Performance Analytics & Insights will be responsible for three key activities: Developing data-driven insights that enable the Americas Operations function to develop and prioritize system-wide solutions to drive hotel performance.  Providing regular reporting to operations performance discussion forums.  Improving the annual target setting approach for the Region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities – (Key Activities)

·  Using multiple analytic techniques and methodologies to produce performance insights, work with the Director of the team to produce annual targets and the performance management plan
·  Ensure the analytics operating model is fit for purpose and up-to-date; identify new analytical approaches to drive efficiencies in the Operations organization
·  Develop and provide regular reporting to divisional and senior leadership review meetings (monthly and bi-monthly). Participate in these discussions as required
·  Provide insights at the hotel level, supporting field visits for priority hotels
·  Participate in initiatives to drive system level performance. Work with the Operations support team to define and track key initiatives
·  Provide insight to the Americas Strategy & Planning team
·  Define Region level targets for the Hotel Winning Metrics; evolve the target setting methodology
What we need from you

Education

·  Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), preferably in an analytical discipline from a top university with a graduate degree preferred - Economics, Operational Research, Math, Physics, or Applied Statistics are highly desirable

Experience

·  3-5 years working in operational research, strategy consulting or in-house analytics
·  Highly detail oriented with excellent quality assurance. Experience working in highly analytical teams, with some interaction with senior leadership clients. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; demonstrated proficiency at analyzing complex data sets. Strong presentation and writing skills; ability to develop compelling storyboards
·  Ability to balance multiple initiatives and prioritize incoming requests
·  Expert knowledge of data modelling and statistical tools, including but not limited to SQL, Python, R, Alteryx, Google Cloud, Tableau, Salesforce.com
