IHG Army Hotels Fort Leonard Wood is currently hiring for a full-time Houseperson in our Maintenance department.

Your day to day

This position has the overall responsibility for assisting maintenance and room attendants on assigned floors.  You will assist room attendants with heavy items such as mattresses and linens and deliver linens and other supplies to room attendants while maintaining cleanliness and organization of floor closets and vending areas.  This important role responds to guests' requests such as delivery of housekeeping supplies in a timely and efficient manner.  You will clean other designated areas such as public restrooms, light fixtures, vending areas, storage areas, shampooing carpets and other public areas for assigned floors.  Duties also include power washing, painting and escorting contractors in various areas of the hotel.  You will monitor and control supplies and amenities, minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping and collect items for recycling.

This job requires ability to perform the following: carrying or lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds and pushing and/or pulling approximately 300 pounds, frequently standing up and moving about the facility, frequently bending, stooping and kneeling and going up/down stairs.

·  Must be able to work a flexible schedule (weekends/holidays)
·  Must be at least 21 years of age or older
·  Must have a valid driver's license
·  Excellent Customer Service Skills
·  Must be able to enter a federal military installation
·  Must be reliable
·  Must be able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
