Your day to day
FINANCIAL RETURNS- Retrieve packages from loading dock, log them in, arrange package room and deliver to guests.PEOPLE- Promote team work and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments. Be aware and prepare for all in-house group meetings and VIP arrivals.GUEST EXPERIENCE- Provide guests with comprehensive information about hotel services, places of interest, restaurants, doctors, sightseeing tours, and any other information of interest.- Assist guests with, but not limited to, theatre/airline/tail tickets, transportation, and restaurant reservations and provide guests with information on outside facilities and services.RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS- Deliver flowers, newspapers, faxes, packages and other amenities to guest rooms.- Leave messages concerning guest faxes, packages and other amenities. - Run errands outside of the hotel to include but not limited to: postage stamps, theatre tickets, shoe repair, laundry, shopping, drugstore, etc.- Handle guests’ services such as mail, keys, postage, messages, and paging.- Perform other duties as assigned.
What we need from you
High School diploma or equivalent plus some guest service or hospitality experience preferred. Some College and knowledge of locale preferred. Must speak fluent English. Other languages preferred. This job requires ability to perform the following:- Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds- Handling objects such as phone, computer keyboard Other:- Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests and third parties.- Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when completing departmental records/logs, tagging bags, etc.- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
